Interior Project Architect
The Interior Project Architect plays a critical role in the design and delivery of exceptional interior projects. On larger projects, the Project Architect will team up with a Project Manager to ensure a seamless project delivery on time and budget. This is a great opportunity to join a highly creative, collaborative team while working on inspiring architectural and interior projects.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare project schedules and work plans on larger projects, often together with PM.
- Plan and oversee project documentation
- Apply firm standards and conduct ongoing QC review of the documents
- Review project regarding construction standards, code, and ADA requirements
- Collaborate with the project team members on design solutions and documentation
- Resolve complex technical / design issues
- Communicate with consultants and authorities having jurisdiction
Qualifications
- Proven project experience as Interior Project Architect on suitable projects in terms of type and size, including design-built and interior improvements
- Experience leading, managing, and mentoring a project team
- Strong organization, communication, and relationship management skills
- Commitment to high quality work and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam required; InDesign preferred
- A well-developed design sense and good graphical skills
- Strong understanding of building materials, details, and construction techniques
- Ability to develop architecturally resolved details that support ambitious design solutions
- Strong understanding of building code, including egress, occupancy, and ADA requirements
- Experience in construction administration
