The design for the Bradbury Residential Tower in downtown Mumbai is composed of a pair of high-rises with sky gardens that showcases Form4 Architecture’s expertise in placemaking. In an attempt, to mediate unique socio-cultural conditions with the private interests of the developer, the project features an inner and outer urban space. The inner space is the heart of the project, fully activated with the program and offering a grand plaza in the shade. For such a large mixed-use compound that includes a hotel and offices, Form4 Architecture envisioned a small citadel brought to urban order by a large, arching street. Despite the machine aesthetic, the iconic nature of the office tower and the hotel define the dominant image of the place.
Through a careful orchestration of shapes, the building is pronounced against the local skyline. Drawn in through calibrated openings toward the city fabric, visitors enter a sheltered plaza filled with edges of retail and cafe amenities.
