Setin Mixed-Use Center

In this collaboration between KMD Architects of San Francisco, KOM Architects of São Paulo and Form4 Architecture, it was necessary to develop a design for Setin Mixed Use Center that accommodated two hotel towers for two different operators in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. Each hotel is distinct in its sculptural roof form and two-story lobby configuration, while the basic massing and materials provide continuity for the project as a whole. Between the two towers is a central “urban place,” activated by two cafes and a restaurant. A conference center with its own sculptural roof, serves as the backdrop to the shared space between the buildings.
